Guard, Sacramento State Hornets. From San Diego. Everything below is sourced — including the parts that are not flattering.
Michael Anthony Williams was born on 26 June 2004 in San Diego, California. He grew up mostly on an outdoor court in his apartment complex, coached by his mother and father — Mahlon, an All-CIF selection at Sweetwater High, and Charisse, who played softball at Kearny High and Hampton University.
He was ranked the number-one player in his class by the Naismith National Youth All-American Report in seventh and eighth grade, and dunked in a game at twelve. By the time he reached San Ysidro High he had more than a million Instagram followers.
The college road was not a straight one. He committed to Memphis in November 2022 but never played a game there; a felony case in San Diego County intervened, and it resolved in August 2024 with a misdemeanour and probation. He transferred to UCF, then to Sacramento State, where in 2025–26 he finally put together a full college season worth talking about: 17.1 points and 4.5 assists a night.
In April 2026 he entered the transfer portal for the third time in his career. In May he withdrew and re-committed to the Hornets for 2026–27.

He had over one million Instagram followers before he started high school. By the end of his freshman year the count was close to two million — and Drake, LeBron James and Kevin Durant were among them.
